MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL (WBRC) - Authorities are working a bank robbery in Mountain Brook where the suspect went through the drive thru and demanded money after saying he had placed a bomb on top of the building.
The incident happened at the Wells Fargo bank on Highway 280 on Office Park Drive. Authorities say the man sent a note to the teller about the bomb and also mentioned a bomb on his person. The teller gave the man the demanded money and he drove off.
Authorities did not find bomb, but they are waiting on the Hoover bomb squad to give all clear.
The suspect is a black male in white Chevy car with a Georgia tag. He is reportedly heading east bound on Highway 280.
