St Vincent's files appeal to stop Trinity Medical Center move

BIRMINGHAM,AL (WBRC) - Plans to move Trinity Mecial Center to Highway 280 have been stopped for now.  Today St Vincent's filed an appeal with the Certificate of Need Board trying to prevent the move.  Trinity wants to move from Montclair Road to the Digital Hospital campus on Highway 280.  The Certificate of Need Board recently agreed to the proposal, but today's appeal by St Vincent's means a delay.  In a statement, Trinity officials say they are greatly disappointed, but are not intimidated or deterred.
