Arraignment scheduled for 11 e-bingo conspiracy defendants

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - New information has been released about the arrest in the e-bingo bribery investigation. The 11 people arrested earlier this week will return to federal court in Montgomery for arraignment October 15th.

Victoryland owner Milton McGregor, Country Crossing owner Ronald Gilley, four state lawmakers, lobbyists and others are under indictment. They are accused of a conspiracy to offer bribes in return for "yes" votes on legislation to legalize gambling.

A federal magistrate rejected McGregor's request for wiretap information and any plea deals in the case saying the request is premature.
