BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – The Internal Revenue Service says they are looking to help solve tax problems for veterans and people with disabilities by holding an open house.
The open house will take place on Saturday, September 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Over one hundred offices will be open at the time, including the 801 Tom Martin Drive office in Birmingham. Taxpayers can also call into an office and receive help over the telephone.
"IRS wants to help veterans and people with disabilities put their federal tax problems behind them in the same way we've provided special Saturday help to small businesses and victims of the Gulf Oil Spill this year," IRS spokesman Dan Boone said.
