Gadsden residents spend day practicing hobby for good cause

By Dixon Hayes

GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) - This will be the fourth year Susie Q's Scrapbooking and Arts in Downtown Gadsden has taken part in the "Scrap Pink" drive, to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fund.  Much of the $30 registration fee for the September 24th event will go to that cause.

Anna Fulmer, who co-owns Susie Q's with her husband, says her business has been part of Scrap Pink since its inception four years ago.

Participants will do several projects that day, including scrapbook pages, stamping and cards.  Their registration fee also provides lunch and materials.  Prizes will be given away, and one contest will involve participants making a pink hat.

Registration ends Thursday afternoon, September 16th at close of business.  If you're interested you should visit Susie Q's at 213 North Third Street (intersection of Third and Locust) in Gadsden, or call 256-439-9388.
