Arrest made in Fayette murder

FAYETTE, AL (WBRC) - A man has been arrested in connection with the August murder of a Fayette woman.

Fayette Police Chief Danny Jenkins, in a statement Monday night to FOX6 News, said Kenneth Ray "Rudy" Fluker, 38, of Fayette, was charged Monday with two counts of capital murder in the August 15 death of Patricia Adair.

Chief Jenkins said the first charge alleges Fluker committed the murder while in the commission of a robbery while the second charge alleges Fluker committed the murder while in the commission of rape.

"The investigative team worked diligently to resolve this case," Chief Jenkins said in the statement. "I know this arrest brings a sense of relief to our community."

If convicted, Chief Jenkins said Fluker could face the death penalty. Fluker was being held in the Fayette County Jail with no bond.
