Tree causes power outage in Mountain Brook

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL (WBRC) – A representative from Alabama Power says that many residents in Mountain Brook found themselves without power on Monday morning.

Keisa Sharpe with Alabama Power says the power outage started around 7:15 a.m. when a tree fell on some wires.

Sharpe says 1800 customers lost power; 1600 customers are expected to have power restored by 9:00 a.m. The remaining 200 will be without power for the majority of the day due to wire repairs.
