BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - University of Alabama football player Marcell Dareus must miss two games and must repay benefits in order to be eligible to play college football again. The move follows an investigation into Dareus meeting with an agent.
The decision came down Thursday from the NCAA student-athlete reinstatement staff.
Dareus must repay the $1787.17 worth of benefits to a charity of his choice. These benefits included airfare, lodging, meals and transportation during two trips to Miami, Florida.
