Piedmont man captured after search

PIEDMONT, AL (WBRC)  - A Piedmont man has been captured after authorities say he ran from a domestic violence incident.

The Etowah County Sheriff's Department, in a statement Thursday afternoon to FOX6 News, said Jeffrey Lynn Langford, 39, was captured shortly before noon in a wooded area behind his home on Siler Road. Authorities searched for Langford after they received a 911 call from the residence reporting a domestic violence incident. Langford was also wanted for probation violation.

The sheriff's department said Langford was transported by the U.S. Marshals Service to Birmingham.
