Kids possibly sprayed with pepper spray on school bus

WOODLAND, AL (WBRC) – The principal of Woodland High School has confirmed that an incident on board a school bus sent several students to the hospital on Thursday.

Principal Donald Birchfield says around 7:00 a.m. on Thursday, something believed to be pepper spray was sprayed on a school bus. The bus was put on lock down and evacuated.

EMS responded and 16 students were taken to Wedowee Hospital.  They were treated and released to their parents.

An investigation has begun into the incident.
