BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A program intended to give high school dropouts a second chance is apparently getting a big response from the community. The initiative gets dropouts back in the school system allowing them to earn their high school diploma.
The Birmingham School Board approved a contract with a firm called "The J. Vincent Group" to create the drop out recovery effort.
The organization's CEO, J. Vincent, says about 500 people have called about the program since FOX6 News first aired the story Monday night.
