BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Birmingham mayor William Bell said Thursday he is working with leaders at Trinity Medical Center on ways to fill the current facility once the medical center moves to the new digital hospital site on Highway 280.
Mayor Bell spoke Thursday to leaders and employees at Trinity Medical Center. The speech came days after a judge cleared the way for the hospital to pursue plans to move from its current location on Montclair Road to the unfinished "digital hospital" site on Highway 280.
Mayor Bell said the city and hospital leaders are committed to try and fill the current site with a new tenant once Trinity moves to Highway 280. He said working together will be the key to success in the process.
