Lawmakers taking concerns "to the streets"

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - 'Taking it to the streets' is what several state representatives plan to do with their anger over the shutdown of casinos along with the state's unemployment rate.

State representatives and senators from several districts will hold a "Jobs and Justice Rally" on Saturday. There will also be a statewide march in Montgomery, encouraging everyone to vote in November.

The march falls on the day of commemoration for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s march on Washington.
Organizers say they are also pushing for justice.
