BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – The Birmingham Police Department says a Birmingham man died after riding his bicycle to his home while suffering from multiple injuries.
49-year-old Michael Hall was reportedly assaulted by two suspects in the 100 block of Coolidge Court Southwest on Thursday night around 7:30 p.m. He suffered from injuries to his head and chest and a gunshot wound to his leg while he rode his bicycle to his home on Wilson Court and collapsed outside.
Hall was taken to UAB Hospital by Birmingham Fire and Rescue. Hospital staff pronounced him dead on Saturday morning.
This homicide is the 26th of 2010 for Birmingham, compared to 41 homicides at this same time on 2009.
