BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - A Birmingham woman has been arrested and charged with stealing from four cars at a mobile home park.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department, in a statement Friday to FOX6 News, said Tracie Syx Goodwin, 33, was arrested shortly after midnight Friday morning in the Hidden Valley Mobile Home Park on Potts Hollow Road.
Deputies said they were called to the scene after a witness observed the suspect checking doors of various vehicles around his home. When deputies arrived, they found Goodwin in the passenger side of a vehicle. After Goodwin left the vehicle, the deputies stopped her. They discovered Goodwin had possession of the car owner's credit cards, camera and watch. They later discovered she had stolen two packs of cigarettes from another car and had searched two other cars.
Goodwin was taken to the Jefferson County Jail. She was being held on $26,500 bond.
