BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Seven people wanted on charges ranging from terroristic threats to trafficking have been arrested.
Birmingham Police, in a statement Friday to FOX6 News, said the seven people were arrested during the past week in an effort to clear 16 outstanding warrants.
"Although warrants were acquired on these subjects for crimes already committed, we could not assume they were complying with the laws as they continued to roam our streets." Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper said in the statement. "We must take an aggressive approach in the apprehension of these offenders regardless of their location throughout the metro area."
Police said the arrests took place throughout the cities of Birmingham, Leeds and Tuscaloosa with the following results:
Reginald Walton, charged with Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substances and Probation Violation for Unlawful Distribution of Controlled Substances
Cynthia Scott, two counts of Trafficking
Brandon Eldridge, Terroristic Threats
Darryl Bailey, two counts of Failure To Register Sex Offender
Todd Miller, four counts of Probation Violation for Receiving Stolen Property
Randy Abdurrahim, Failure To Register Sex Offender and Failure To Appear on (Rape, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and Burglary)
Kenyon Baltimore, Probation Violation for Robbery
