Birmingham City Council votes to improve computer system

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – Birmingham City Council members voted on hiring an accounting firm to help fix the city's finances and computer system on Tuesday.
Employees in the finance department have had problems for years calculating the finances because of a faulty system.

Council members say the firm should be able to fix some of those problems and train more employees to use the computer system.

The services will cost $89-thousand dollars.
