Alabama Supreme Court denies contact with governor over e-bingo

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - The Alabama Supreme Court sounds off about bingo.
The court issued a statement, late Monday night, saying no justice had any contact with Governor Riley or anyone acting on his behalf about the assignment of e-bingo-related cases or the anticipated release date of e-bingo cases.
The statement stems from claims by Tuscaloosa businessman Stan Pate that Riley intervened with the court to get a case involving Victoryland's e-bingo machines moved from one justice to another.

The court also says it is conducting an internal investigation of the source of any leaks.
