BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The Birmingham City Council will again consider hiring a firm to fix the faulty computer system used in the finance department.
Council members debated whether or not to spend $89,000. There was no unanimous decision.
Mayor William Bell says a firm is needed to fix the system because the city cannot complete an audit without a fix. Without an audit, the city cannot shop the bond market for federal funds.
