Alabama Supreme Court rules in Macon County electronic gaming case

Birmingham, AL (WBRC) - The governor's task force on illegal gambling is another step closer to a raid on Victoryland in Macon County. This afternoon Alabama supreme court ruled in the case and the ruling gave Governor Bob Riley the final decision when it comes to electronic bingo.

The ruling says Riley's task force has jurisdiction when it comes to electronic gaming machines. The court also ruled a Macon County judge's decision barring a raid at Victoryland was wrong.

The attorney for Victoryland owner Milton Mcgregor says the ruling "makes Bob Riley king." Victoryland is still open for business.
