SYLACAUGA, AL (WBRC) - A motorcycle takes place Saturday, July 24. 2010 in Sylacauga for an injured hometown officer, Sgt. Tommy Allen.  Allen was injured July 5th in a violent car accident on Highway 280.

Registration for the ride will take place from 8:30am to 9:30am at Yamaha of Sylacauga on Highway 280 Saturday. There's a $25 registration fee. T-shirts will also be on sale at the Yamaha dealership.  The ride will be around 120 miles. It will then return to the Golden Rule BBQ in Sylacauga where food, music, and fun will be had.

The organizer, Dianna Murray Anderson, says the community just wants to support the Allen family, making sure money isn't a concern during his time of need.

Donations will also be accepted at the Heritage South Credit Union in Sylacauga in honor of Sgt. Tommy Allen or his wife Dina Allen.
