GADSDEN, AL (WBRC) - A woman has been charged with killing her husband in bed.
Etowah County Sheriff Todd Entrekin, in a statement Wednesday to FOX6 News, said Carlotta Susann Kutschenreuter, 47, had been charged with one count of felony murder.
Investigators said the couple's son called 911 call at 5:40 a.m. Tuesday. When deputies arrived at the house on Clay Drive in Hokes Bluff, they found Joel David Kutschenreuter, 53, dead in his bed with three gunshot wounds.
Sheriff Entrekin said Joel Kutschenreuter's body was sent to Huntsville for an autopsy. Carlotta Kutschenreuter was being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $100,000 bond.
