GULF SHORES, AL (WBRC) - The government says at least five leaks have been discovered around BP's capped well in the Gulf of Mexico.
National Incident Commander Thad Allen, who is in charge of the government's response to the leak, says they are only very small drips not unlike those from a car. Allen also says the seepage found earlier this week is from an older well that is no longer producing oil.
BP says drilling of a relief well is on track to be completed by the end of the month. That should be a permanent fix to the leak.
