MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - Former HealthSouth CEO Richard Scrushy wants out of prison while his case is on appeal.
Scrushy's attorneys made the request in light of a U.S. Supreme Court decision last month that ordered a review of his government corruption convictions and those of former Governor Don Siegelman.
Court papers claim Scrushy is broke because of a $2.8 billion judgement and has no means or motivation to flee.
