Gubernatorial candidates focus on jobs

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - Job creation has become one of the few things gubernatorial candidates Robert Bentley and Ron Sparks do agree on. How to create those jobs is where their opinions split.

Republican Robert Bentley wants to go through small businesses. He wants to create incentives to get them hiring and spending again.

Democrat Ron Sparks is calling for a $1.4 billion road plan and reopening the state's casinos.
The two men will be crisscrossing the state this week as they kick their campaigns into high gear heading into the fall.
