All Around Town Catering Asian Chicken Legs with Wonderful Glaze
12 Chicken legs
2 Tbsp Olive oil
1 Tbsp five spice
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup pepper jelly
1/4 cup rice vinegar
1/4 cup chicken stock
2 tbsp chopped ginger
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp sesame oil
1]Preheat oven to 425 degrees.In a large bowl mix oil and five spice.Add chicken,salt,and pepper,and toss to coat.Arrange the chicken on a foil lined pan.Roast for 35 minutes,turning twice until cooked.
2]In a blender combine soy sauce,pepper jelly,vinegar,chicken stock,ginger,garlic,and sesame oil.Set to puree,and put in sauce pan to simmer for five minutes.
3]Transfer chicken to bowl and toss with sauce.
4]Preheat broiler,and position rack 8 inches from heat.Broil chicken for 10 minutes,brushing with sauce until glazed and sticky.
5]Have sesame seeds in bowl,and dip chicken legs to coat the large ends.
6]Soy and vinegar for dipping sauce,and ENJOY!!!!!
7]This may seem like alot of steps,but these are worth it.The only real time is in the actual cooking,and you catch up while they cook.
