Dry Rubbed London Broil

London Broil, is not a cut of beef but rather a method of cooking. Originally this recipe was most likely a flank steak, but over the years the name has been applied to almost any cut of beef that is very lean and less tender. Sometimes you might find London Broil being a steak or a roast that comes from the sirloin or round sections of cattle. Wherever your London broil is cut from, try this easy recipe to treat your family. Remember, this cut of meat does best being not overcooked and sliced diagonally.

Dry Rubbed London Broil

Serves 4-6      Prep 20 minutes          Cook 10-15 minutes


  • 1 (2-pound) London broil
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 Tablespoons Butt Rub brand Dry Rub Seasoning


Rub London broil with olive oil and then coat generously with the dry rub. Let stand for about 15 minutes at room temperature.

Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat.

Place meat on grill and grill for about 5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing on the bias
