PRATTVILLE, AL (WBRC) – On Saturday, the town of Prattville will be welcoming home heroes after their time in Iraq.
The Alabama Army National Guard's 217th Military Police Company will be coming back after a year-long deployment in Iraq.
The company will arrive at the Prattville Armory after their demobilization in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
While in Iraq, the 170 members of the 217th provided military police support to coalition forces and helped to train, mentor and coach Iraqi police forces.
The arrival time is expected to be around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, but due to travel conditions, the arrival time could fluctuate.
Anyone wishing to show their support for the troops is encouraged to attend.
