Fishing rodeo draws thousands

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Thousands of kids gathered Saturday morning for Birmingham's annual Fishing Rodeo.

The event, in its 12th year, was held Saturday morninig at East Lake Park, hosted by the Birmingham Parks and Recreation Board.  Children 15 and under were able to register for free tickets to fish in the event and earn a chance to win prizes throughout the day.

Food vendors and other companies were also on hand for the event, which was held from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday.
