BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Alabama power workers are gearing up for hurricane season.
They worked with several other power companies in the southeast to conduct a drill trying to make their action plans more efficient.
Workers simulated a hurricane moving through the mouth of Mobile Bay. Their goal was to focus on their logistics and how they would move crews to hard hit areas and what to do in the worst case scenario.
Alabama power officials say these drills give them the opportunity to recognize better ways of dealing with challenges, so they can serve those hit worst, the fastest.
