MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - The board that has overseen Alabama's prepaid college tuition program for two decades holds its final meeting.
Members authorized an attorney to try to settle lawsuits filed over the program's financial problems.
The legislature voted last month to appropriate money to make sure the PACT can pay the tuition of its participants. Lawmakers also created a new PACT board, which takes over June 1st.
