Dates set for occutax lawsuit hearing

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A lawsuit against Jefferson County's new occupational tax has key new dates.

Montgomery Circuit Judge Charles Price has been given the case after Jefferson County judges refused to take the case. Price set a scheduling hearing on Wednesday.

August 20th will be the date if the case is turned into a class action case.

In September, a hearing will decide if the there will be ruling without a jury trial.
