Alabama Attorney General to hold meeting to address oil spill claims

MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) – Attorney General Troy King has announced that he will be providing information to Alabama citizens on how to make claims for financial losses from the BP oil spill at a town hall meeting on Wednesday night. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Mobile Government Plaza building.

King says that he hopes Alabamians will attend the meeting. "If you're suffering any kind of financial loss due to the oil spill, or if you are facing that probability, join me at a combined Mobile and Baldwin County town hall meeting that could be very helpful to you," said King in a press release about the meeting. "Some financial assistance processes are in place right now, and others are being developed on a daily basis. We will explain what help is currently available and how to get it. I also look forward to your questions and suggestions."

The meeting will be streamed live to the web for anyone who cannot attend. To watch, visit
