TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) - Homicide investigators have released the names of two people killed in a Monday evening plane crash in Tuscaloosa.

The victims are Mark Yellen, 41, and Paula Moffet, 56, both from Memphis, Tennessee.  The couple were flying to the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport from the Domician Republic to meet with Moffet's family.  It is unclear what caused the crash.  No distress calls were made.  Captain Loyd Baker with the Tuscaloosa Metro Homicide Unit says the couple was texting back and forth with family members on the ground just 6 minutes before the crash.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
