Police looking for those who burglarized churches and stole a van

CULLMAN, AL (WBRC) - Cullman County authorities are looking for suspects responsible for church burglaries.

The burglars victimized eight churches in one night. Electronics, cash, instruments and food were taken.

A church van was also stolen.

The suspects crashed the van into a fence at a wrought iron business on County Road 437.

The business had surveillance cameras catching the suspects on tape abandoning the van. Authorities hope the video will help in the investigation.

"It certainly is sad they would target the house of God," said Jason Hancock Pastor of Valley Springs Baptist Church,  which was also a victim. "That is God's house, that is not our house. Certainly, I think it's a place that is to be reverenced."

The suspects in the surveillance video were all young adults. There were three males and one female.

There is a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrests in these break-ins.
