UAB medical students hold 5k run for charity

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – UAB medical students will be holding the inaugural Run for the Health of It 5K and one-mile fun run on Saturday.

Money raise from the run will go to Equal Access Birmingham, a group dedicated to providing health care to the disadvantaged.

The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Crestline Elementary School and will go through Mountain Brook. The fun run will start at 9:30 a.m. Both runs are open to the public.

The cost is $20 for the 5K and $10 for the fun run. Donations can be made at active.com.
