Police officers sit on top of Wal-Mart for good cause

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) – Police officers from the Birmingham and Homewood Police Department will be spending some time on the roofs of local Wal-Marts this weekend.

The Cops on Top Roof Sit campaign is a program where officers will hang out on the top of a Wal-Mart Supercenter to raise money for the Special Olympics.

The sit will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning and will go for 36 hours to end at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Birmingham police will be on the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 1600 Montclair Road. Homewood police will hold their campaign on the Lakeshore Parkway Walmart in Wildwood.
