BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Children's Hospital in Birmingham is looking for small wagon donations.

Hospital officials made the request Tuesday during a news conference where Birmingham Police Chief A.C. Roper and other officers presented the hospital with a new wagon.

Kathy Bowers, Media Relations Coordinator for Children's Health System, said only certain types of wagons can be accepted.

Because the health and safety of our young patients is always our priority, we ask that any wagon donated to Children's Hospital meet certain criteria," Bowers said in a statement to FOX6 News. "They must be Radio Flyer brand and should be not decorated with anything that could come off and pose a choking hazard. Any painting of the wagon should be done with non-toxic paints."
