Maplesville officer injured after breaking up burglary - WBRC FOX6 News - Birmingham, AL

MAPLESVILLE, AL (WBRC) - The search is on for two men who beat up a Maplesville officer. The attack happened around one o'clock at Maplesville High School.
Authorities say the officer interrupted a burglary at the school. The officer chased the suspects. During the chase, he lost communication with dispatch.
When Chilton County deputies got to the scene, they found the officer unconscious. He also had several facial injuries. The officer regained consciousness and was taken to Shelby Baptist. There is no word, yet on his condition.
Deputies brought in tracking dogs overnight.
