Fans pack Barber Motorsports Park for Alabama's inaugural Indycar race

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - Huge crowds came to Birmingham for the first Indycar race in Alabama.
     
Organizers at Barber Motorsports Park say the crowd brought in an estimated 35 to 40 thousand fans. That could mean an economic impact around 25 to 30 million dollars.

Fans say the race action and nice weather made for the perfect weekend.
