Ashville leaders contemplating sales tax and water rate hike

ASHVILLE, AL (WBRC) - In St Clair County, Ashville city leaders have set an April 19th public hearing on proposed sales tax and water rate increases.

The sales tax would go from eight cents to nine cents on the dollar.

The minimum water bill for a home would go from 14 dollars to more than 16 dollars for the first two-thousand gallons used.
