JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Sheriff Mike Hale wants another shot at being Jefferson County's top cop.
On Thursday, Hale went to Jefferson County Republican headquarters to file papers to run in the party's primary June 1st. Hale was surrounded by family and friends.
Hale is seeking a fourth term of office dating back to 1998.
The sheriff says his top goals remain crime fighting, targeting drug houses and protecting children from sex offenders.
