Pothole blamed for traffic fatality

CLEBURNE COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - A pothole on Interstate 20 in Cleburne County is being blamed for a traffic fatality.
Troopers say a pickup truck hit a pothole, sending a chunk of asphalt into the windshield a vehicle.

33-year-old Jomaureen Fisher of South Carolina was critically injured in that accident. She later died of her injuries at UAB Hospital.

State transportation workers were back at the location of the accident, Tuesday. They repaired the pothole in the eastbound lane.
