MONTGOMERY, AL (WBRC) - The battle over the legal authority of the governor's task force on gambling is now being waged in the Alabama Supreme Court.
Motions were filed by Macon County officials on Monday. They are challenging the authority of task force commander John Tyson to act outside of Mobile County.
Tallapoosa County Judge Tom Young ruled that Tyson can only act in Mobile County, where he is the district attorney.
