BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The torrential rainfall that fell Wednesday across Alabama caused lots of problems in parts of central Alabama.
In Shelby County, several roads remained closed Thursday, washed away by the heavy rain on Wednesday.
Folks got a break Thursday, but forecasters said more rain is expected Friday, which could cause more flooding.
The good news is Friday's rain event is not expected to be a repeat of Wednesday, but forecasters said there could be some minor flooding, depending on where you live.
"Areas that live close to rivers, maybe waterways may see minor additional flooding," said FOX6 Chief Meteorologist J-P Dice. "We are not going to see a widespread event from this."
Dice said there won't be as much rain falling in Alabama on Friday, and the rain will move quickly out of the area.
