BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church in the Burrows Crossroad community says lightning struck their church Wednesday night.
There were no injuries. The lightning hit the steeple, traveled downward into the air- conditioning unit, and started a fire that completely damaged the church's balcony.
