Selma "Bloody Sunday" march anniversary

People from all over gathered Sunday in Selma to mark the 45th anniversary of of the "Bloody Sunday" voting rights march where voting rights marchers were beaten by state troopers on Selma's Edmund Pettus Bridge.

Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, ex wife of former South African President Nelson Mandela, was keynote speaker Sunday morning at the Martin and Coretta Scott King Unity Breakfast. The Reverend Jesse Jackson was one of the speakers who addressed hundreds of people at the Brown Chapel AME Church for a special service. This years bridge crossing jubilee centered on education.
