I agree whole-heartedly!  As a victim of molestation I know the damage it does and that it does last a lifetime. Our future is being irreparably damaged by these people and none of our laws or punishments seem to diminish their acts.

You have a lot of pedophiles out there. Children are our prized possession. Parents should teach their children not to talk to strangers, not to let anybody touch them in an unfamiliar way. Nobody including the parents.

When it comes to the matter of pedophilia, I believe our legal system should hand down harsher punishments for first offenders, and throw the proverbial "book" at any repeat offenses, regardless of there severity.  In my eyes any crime against children, especially those of a sexual nature, are right up there with murder. I also feel that any sex offender (regardless of the nature of their crime, age of their victim, and age of their crime) should not only register with local authorities, but have to check in at least on a monthly basis with them.  That is my opinion, and that is what makes this a great nation.
