JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) – A winter storm has produced a little snow for the Northeast part of the state.
The snow began falling in the northern part of the state overnight and even began to stick in a light dusting in the Cullman area. Most areas receiving snow have temperatures above freezing and will not see any sticking beyond rooftops and grassy areas.
Anyone driving in the Cullman area or further north should be looking for icy patches on roads and bridges.
The central part of the state received a snow/rain mix in several areas. There have been no reports of ice on roadways and the snow is quickly melting.
Traffic appears to have not been affected by the weather.
