Country Crossing wants county taxes returned

HOUSTON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) - Country Crossing casino wants a refund of county taxes it paid, now that the facility is not in operation.
Casino owners paid over $1.5 million  to the Houston County Commission in bingo machine stamp fees. They wanted a pro-rated refund because they have been shut down for over a month, fearing a raid from the governor's task force.

The Houston County Commission chairman wants court approval before any refunds are issued.
